The City of Santa Monica and the Metropolitan Water District at Santa Monica College compared two landscape strategies, sustainable vs. traditional "mow and blow," side-by-side. The results show that sustainable landscaping enhanced the coastal environment, significantly reduced pollution and waste, while saving time, money and water.
